Writing a novel last year was a very enjoyable experience. I want to do it again. I want to write one a year. In fact, I will start writing another novel this month.

The novel, I Have No Friends, that I just finished is actually my third. The first was called, In Search of Kafka. The second is called, Not a Step. However, for the second novel, I wrote only about 60 pages a few years ago and never finished. So I’ve decide to finish it during the first half of this year.

When I wrote No Friends, I found handwriting it to be useful during the creative process. I want to do the same with Not a Step. To get back into the story again, I’ll handwrite into a notebook what I’ve already typed. Copying the text into the notebook will naturally lead to changes. This is good since my writing skills have improved greatly after writing No Friends and Learning MySQL and MariaDB (my most recent technical book).
