Novel Storyboard

I have traction finally on writing this new novel. I’ve worked out some of the plot problems and developed it much further than I originally anticipated. It’s now a more complex novel—but a much better read.

I’ve written a little over 300 pages, but I’m only about 60% complete. That’s not to say it will be 500 pages when finished. After I’ve completed the draft, I will do plenty of revisions that will reduce the text back down to about 350 pages.

Because the plot is more complex—actually, there are now two intertwined plots—I’ve started using Scapple to keep track of the chapters and scenes, and to use as a storyboard. This image is a screenshot of just the first two parts of the novel. There are ten parts in all.
