I finished the first draft of my new novel, Not a Step. It was several years ago that I first had the idea for this novel. I’ve worked on it on and off for so long. I still have to do plenty of revisions and then I need to get it edited. But I’m very relieved that I’ve made it to this milestone.

This novel is very different and much better than anything I’ve written before. It’s a complex story with two intertwined plots. It’s full of intrigue and emotions. It has some detective moments, some sex scenes, and plenty of conflicts—something my other stories lacked greatly.

There’s plenty of fine tuning to be done. I need to adjust the time lines. I want to improve some of the wording and imagery. And I want to make sure the themes are covered, to make sure I said what I want to say.
